Louisiana Derby – Fair Grounds

This should be a great race, with previous standouts Drosselmeyer, Discreetly Mine, The Program, Wow Wow Wow, and Ron The Greek headlining this race.

Tempted to Tapit, Storming Saint, Nacho Friend and Guiltbyassociation headline the Sunland Derby at Sunland Park

I’m looking forward to this race.  Primarily because I was partners with the owners of Guiltbyassociation, partly because I’m interested in seeing if a horse from Sunland can perform again on May 1st.  Could the altitude training help come Derby day?

We have 2 great prep races this weekend and the ‘Ole Big Cap!

Gotham Stakes at Aqueduct
Will “Wow Wow Wow” strut his stuff?  Or will Julien Leparoux on board Awesome Act prove why he’s the morning line favorite?

Sham Stakes at Santa Anita The Program
This is going to be an interesting race…when the gates finally open!  After being rained out last weekend, hopefully the scheduled race avoids this weekend’s mother nature.  Will The Program or Nextdoorneighbor become a front runner for the First Saturday in May?

Not a Derby Prep race, but one of the most prestigious races around!  Check back here for all the race videos on Saturday!
