Here’s Ray Paulick’s Kentucky Derby Rankings, updated after this last weekend, March 20th.
Notice that D’ Funnybone, even though he won the Swale Stakes by 1 1/4 lengths, was dropped from the 20th position. This is due to Pompa Jr., D’ Funnybone’s owner, saying that he’s not interested in pushing D’ Funnybone towards the Derby, but will likely point him towards the Preakness.

This is going to be one of the premier Kentucky Derby prep races. Unfortunately, #1 ranked Eskendereya decided to pass on this race for the Wood Memorial. But, we still have a loaded line-up with:

The Fountain of Youth at Gulfstream Park this weekend hosts two potential Kentucky Derby favorites in Buddy’s Saint and Jackson Bend. Or could an upset be in the brew with Eskendereya or Aikenite?
Will Ron the Greek have the same stretch move as he did last time out? Or will Drosselmeyer put an end to this unknown’s Derby dreams?
